Definition: The "Regulations on Safety Supervision of Small and Atmospheric Hot Water Boilers" specify that small boilers include: small steam water dual-use boilers (evaporation capacity ≤ 0.5 tons/hour, pressure ≤ 0.04MPa), small hot water boilers (outlet pressure ≤ 0.1MPa), and small steam boilers (water volume ≤ 50L and pressure ≤ 0.7MPa)

Working principle: Fuel combustion (or electric heating) heats water into steam or hot water, which is directly supplied to the heating equipment through pipelines

2、 Comparison of core differences

When the power of the mold temperature machine is ≥ 100kW (0.1MW), it is recognized as an "organic heat carrier boiler" and belongs to special equipment, which needs to be executed in accordance with boiler supervision regulations (manufacturing license, installation supervision, regular inspection, etc.)

When the power of the mold temperature machine is less than 100kW, it belongs to general industrial equipment and is not included in the scope of special equipment supervision

Most commercial biomass pellet molding machines have a power range of 200000 to 1 million kcal/h (approximately 23-116 kW), with some small models having a power below 100 kW. Therefore, some belong to the category of boilers, while others do not, depending on their rated power parameters.

4、 Why is it easy to confuse?

Fuel similarity: Both can use fuels such as biomass pellets

Appearance similarity: Some mold temperature machines are designed to be compact and resemble small boilers in appearance

Industry habit: Small thermal oil furnaces are often referred to as "mold temperature machines" in the market, blurring the boundaries

Functional overlap: Both can provide thermal energy and can replace each other in certain application scenarios

Biomass pellet mold temperature machine is not a simple equivalent of a small boiler, they are two different design concepts of thermal energy equipment. Although under specific conditions (power ≥ 100kW), some mold temperature machines can be classified as "organic heat carrier boilers", there are significant differences between the two in terms of core functions, technical characteristics, and application fields.
