Common classification standards for boilers

1. Classified by purpose: power boilers (used for power generation, driving machinery, such as power plant boilers, industrial power boilers), industrial boilers (used for industrial production heating, heating and ventilation, etc.), and domestic boilers (used for residential heating, hot water supply, etc.).  

2. Classified by fuel type: coal-fired boilers, oil fired boilers (heavy oil, light oil, etc.), gas boilers (natural gas, liquefied gas, etc.), biomass boilers, electric boilers, waste heat boilers, etc.  

3. Classified by rated working pressure: low-pressure boilers (≤ 2.5MPa), medium pressure boilers (3.95.3MPa), high-pressure boilers (9.813.7MPa), ultra-high pressure boilers (16.7-19.6MPa), subcritical boilers (around 22.1MPa), and supercritical boilers (>22.1MPa).  

4. Classified by structural form: fire tube boiler (smoke flows inside the tube, such as horizontal quick installation boiler), water tube boiler (water flows inside the tube, such as once through boiler, natural circulation boiler).  

5. Classified by combustion method: laminar combustion furnace (coal is burned on the grate, such as chain grate boilers), chamber combustion furnace (fuel is atomized and burned in the furnace space, such as coal powder furnaces and oil/gas boilers), boiling furnace (fuel is burned in a boiling bed).
